Tongits

Each player receives 12 cards, dealt in sets of three. The remaining cards form the draw pile in the center of the table, with the top card turned face-up to start the discard pile. The game can be played with 2-4 players, and the objective is to have the lowest hand value when someone calls "Tongits" or when all cards are exhausted.

Tongits follows standard 3-card poker rankings. From highest to lowest:

• Three of a Kind - Three cards of the same rank (highest: three Aces)
• Straight Flush - Three consecutive cards of the same suit
• Straight - Three consecutive cards of different suits
• Flush - Three cards of the same suit
• Pair - Two cards of the same rank
• High Card - No combinations (Ace is highest, 2 is lowest)

Drawing: On your turn, draw one card from either the draw pile or the discard pile. Consider carefully - the discard pile might contain useful cards for your combinations.

Melding: You may meld (lay down) valid combinations of three cards once per round. Melded cards are safe from penalties.

Discarding: End your turn by discarding one card to the discard pile. Choose wisely - avoid discarding cards that could help opponents.

A player declares "Tongits" when they believe they have the lowest possible hand value. This can be done:

• Regular Tongits: Anytime after drawing but before drawing another card
• Blind Tongits: Without looking at your cards, immediately after the initial deal
• Sinking: When a player has melded all their cards

If no one challenges the Tongits declaration, the declarer wins. If challenged and found to have a higher hand, the challenger wins!
